Lockdown Drill at the MS on 10/9/2025

Lockdown Drill at the MS on 10/9/2025

We want to inform you of a Lockdown drill taking place on Thursday, October 9, from 1:35 PM to 1:50 PM. As part of this drill, the Sauk Rapids Police Department has been invited to participate.

The goal of the Lockdown drill is to practice the "Locks, Lights, Out of Sight" protocol and to test our physical security systems to ensure they are operating properly. The presence of law enforcement is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the effectiveness of our safety protocols. Officers will assist in checking classrooms and other areas to provide valuable feedback.

Please know that this is a planned drill to enhance our preparedness and does not indicate any specific threat to our school. Additionally, we want to reassure you that Lockdown drills will NEVER include scenarios involving an active threat. As required by Minnesota state law, we will conduct at least five lockdown drills throughout the school year.

We appreciate your continued support as we work to maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all our students. Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community.
