SRR Core Values

Moving from PATH to SRR Core Values:

As you may know, Sauk Rapids-Rice is a PBIS district. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and is an approach used to teach students behavior expectations and strategies. The focus of PBIS is to teach expectations and prevent behavior rather than to be reactive and punish.

In the past, the middle school has aligned our PBIS language with our elementary buildings using PATH (Prepared, Accepting, Trustworthy, Helpful). We have found our middle school-aged students are ready for an upgraded version, if you will, when they enter middle school.

For this reason, we have shifted to follow the high school language and now have both secondary buildings aligned and using the common language of SRR Core Values. We encourage you to discuss and use this language at home as well.
