Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools, along with Voigt’s Bus Service, are pleased to provide transportation to all students in a safe manner. Each community member, school employee and bus service employee plays a role in our school’s bus safety program. We need your help to continue to make the school bus the safest way for children to get to school.

Sauk Rapids-Rice provides safe and timely transportation within school district boundaries. Additionally, the district transports elementary students to a bus stop within the elementary school's boundary. You can verify your school of attendance by clicking this link, app.guidek12 and entering your bus stop address.

Each year, we ask families to confirm their transportation plans for the upcoming school year. This helps plan for all students who wish to ride and for our routes to be as efficient and accurate as possible. Families are encouraged to opt-in for transportation, even if their student(s) will only require it during certain times of the year.

NEW FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR, ISD 47 will be requiring all families to opt-in for school bus transportation. ISD 47 Transportation is continually working to create more efficient bus routes and we need your help to ensure the bus is ready for your student in the fall by completing a 2024–2025 Transportation Form.

By letting us know the plan for your student before the school year starts, it will help the district address the ongoing bus driver shortage and continue to create more efficient and sustainable bus routes.

Completing a request is important for students that will:

Ride the bus in the 2024-2025 school year,
New riders/students for the 2024-2025 school year,
Change schools (moving from elementary to middle school or middle school to high school), 
Move over the summer months, or  
Have a daycare location that is changing.

Transportation route information will be available through the My Ride K-12 App during the week of August 26.

School Year 2024-2025 Transportation

If you have moved, changed daycare or if pick-up/drop-off locations changed, you must complete a form.

To accommodate multiple households, such as those of the mother and father, you should fill out separate Transportation Forms for each.

Transportation Request and Change Form

Please submit the Transportation Request and Change form to the Sauk Rapids-Rice Transportation Department as soon as possible, so that transportation arrangements can be made. ALL CHANGE REQUESTS REQUIRE TWO BUSINESS DAYS FOR PROCESSING AND CHILDREN MUST BE OUT AT THEIR STOPS 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO DESIGNATED PICKUP TIME.

Bus Routes and Schedules via the My Ride K-12 App - NEW APRIL 1, 2024

Bus routes and pickup times are available for you to review in the My Ride K-12 app or on the https://myridek12.tylerapp.com/ website.

The Ride 360 app will no longer be supported as of April 1, 2024. We are excited to introduce a new and improved app.

How to access the My Ride K-12 mobile application

Download My Ride K-12 from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
After the app installation is complete, open My Ride K-12.
When prompted to find your school district, search for the name of the school district your child attends. If you need assistance, please contact your school district.
Once you have selected your district, you will proceed to the login page. If you do not already have a registered email, click Register.
To register, enter your email address, a password, and name.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Tap on the link in your email to confirm your registration through the My Ride K-12 website.
Log in, then find a student by going to My Students and choosing the + button. This will present the Add Student screen.
Enter the unique information required by your district to find your student*. Repeat this step to add additional students. If you need assistance, please contact your school district.
Once you have linked to a student, click on that student’s profile to see all relevant transportation information.
Press the Share button to share a student link with someone else.
Enter the email of the person you would like to share with. That person will receive a confirmation email that will automatically link them to the shared student(s). Recipients must register with My Ride K-12, if they have not already done so, to access the student information.
Regularly check for updates to ensure that your device is running the latest version of the app.
Remain logged in to the app to receive district notifications, even when the app is not actively running.

How to access the My Ride K-12 website

Using the Chrome browser, go to myridek12.tylerapp.com.
If you do not already have a registered email, click Sign up.
To register, enter your email address, a password, and name.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the link in your email to confirm your registration through the My Ride K-12 website.
When prompted, search for the name of the school district your child attends. If you need assistance, please contact your school district.
Enter the unique information required by your district to find your student. Repeat this step to add additional students. If you need assistance, please contact your school district.
Once you have linked to a student, click on that student’s profile to see all relevant transportation information.
To share a student link with another person, select a student and click the Share button.
Enter the email of the person you would like to share with. That person will receive a confirmation email that will automatically link them to the shared student(s). Recipients must register with My Ride K-12, if they have not already done so, to access the student’s information.

How to find your child’s other id (student id) in Skyward Family Access

Visit Family Access/Skyward and log in.

(If you don’t know your Family Access Login information please click on “Forgot Username/Password.” Enter your email on file and a temporary password will be emailed to you.)

3. Make note of the number listed next to Other Id. This is the information needed to link your student to the Traversa Ride 360 app and/or the Traversa website. Each student in your family will have a unique id.

Bus Safety and Rules

School Bus Safety

At the bus stop, students of all ages are reminded to stand at least ten feet back from the area where the bus will stop. All approaches to the bus are to be directed by the driver. Student movement toward the bus can only be allowed when in response to the bus driver’s hand signal.

Make a plan with your student so both of you know what to do in the event of missing the bus. Running toward the bus stop or in pursuit of a moving vehicle is dangerous. Being late to school is a tolerable consequence.

Neighborhood cul-de-sac areas often have inexperienced preschool children eager to greet the bus and younger students returning home from school. School bus routing standards recommend that school buses avoid entering cul-de-sacs and turn arounds to the extent possible.

Parents are encouraged to monitor their children at bus stops. Many parents take turns with each other so as to provide daily supervision.

School Bus Rules

Be on time for the bus.
Always watch the driver to signal you before crossing the road.
Be courteous and listen to the driver; do what the driver asks the first time they ask.
Find a seat quickly and allow other students to sit with you.
Sit facing forward with your backpack on your lap.
Keep your feet on the floor, not on the seats and not in the aisles.
Visit with other students in your area of the bus in a quiet manner.
Everything else is unacceptable behavior on the bus and the consequence is having an incident report turned in to your building principal. This could lead to your suspension from riding the bus.
No pets or animals are allowed on the bus.

2024–2025 Reminders:

This opt-in pertains to regular transportation to and from school. A distinct process, managed by case managers, is in place for students receiving special education services.
Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools exclusively offer transportation services within the school district boundaries. Moreover, transportation for elementary students is limited to their respective school boundaries.
Families are encouraged to opt-in for transportation, even if their student(s) will only require it during certain times of the year.
If families do not intend to utilize the bus service, please complete the form indicating "No Bus Needed" for both morning and afternoon transportation.
